Turn your FdSc or DipHE qualification into a full degree or honours degree with The PGA

PGA Trainees or Members who have gained the FdSc or DipHE qualification can continue their studies and professional development by working towards a full degree or Honours degree.

Since 2004 PGA Members who have gone through the Training Programme and studied the Foundation Degree course with the University of Birmingham (UoB) have effectively completed the first two years of a full-time degree. The same applies to anyone who has completed the DipHE course with The University of the Highlands and Islands (UHI).

PGA Members who have successfully completed the Foundation Degree or DipHE qualifications now have the opportunity to work towards either a degree or an honours degree, if they meet the entry criteria.

The PGA also recognises that many Members became qualified prior to the introduction of the Foundation degree in 2004. Current PGA Members also have the opportunity to gain a degree (with the option to continue towards an honours degree) with UHI, who will recognise the previous work experience of Members who do not have the Foundation Degree or DipHE qualifications.

Both programmes are studied online and part-time over two years, allowing Members to continue working and earning experience in the golf industry.

Entry is by application only. Those applying the BSc course with the University of Birmingham will be assessed based upon previous performance of the Foundation Degree programme.

Online open days for both programmes are available, these explain the course content, methods of study, assessments, fees and the answers to any other queries you might have. Please register your interest, and we will contact you with further details.
